Caring for the people covered by the Pinhoe and Broadclyst Doctors' Surgeries.

Clyst Caring Friends is a local Charity based in the Pinhoe and Broadclyst Surgeries. Next door to the Broadclyst surgery we have a purpose built Day Centre with sessions running on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-3pm. These sessions are managed by qualified staff who are also helped by trained volunteers.

A recent new facility is a smaller 'home group' for up to four people who meet once a week in one of our members homes. We also have an assisted bathing facility for those who can no longer manage with a bath at home. This is available on Tuesdays and on some Day Centre days. The Clyst Caring Friends monthly Luncheon Club is held on the second Thursday in the month and gives the opportunity for those who are lonely or housebound to meet on a regular basis for a social gathering.

On Monday mornings at the Church Hall we run a Drop-In-Coffee-Morning from 10am to 11.30am. This provides another regular social event for people in the local area.

The Clyst Caring Friends Car Service covers a lot of these journeys to all of the above facilities. We also help many people with mobility problems or those who have trouble using public transport by transporting them to their medical appointments, although this does not include hospital appointments.
