Over the past few years the services offered by Clyst Caring Friends have expanded considerably. We now bring a great deal of help to the people in our community who need it and in a recent survey among our `clients' there was overwhelming appreciation expressed for all that we do.
But of course to maintain this level of service – and even to expand our scope – requires the help of many volunteers. We already have a faithful body of workers but are always looking for more.
If you would like to be a volunteer – or would like more information about any of our activities we would like to hear from you. You can be of any age between 18 years to well past retirement; driver or non driver; working or not working.
References will be required, training will be given and out-of-pocket expenses met.
Please telephone our Co-ordinator on 01392 464940 and we will get in touch with you.
We need people to help with the Shop. The shop opens on Monday mornings from 10am to 12pm in the Church Hall and is an important source of income and help here is of great importance to our financial well being.
We need Home Visitors who will spend an hour or so each week calling on housebound folk just to talk to them and perhaps take some shopping in when they come. Sometimes these people do not see anyone to talk to for days on end and appreciate very much the time you give them.
We need helpers at the Day Centre. If you are available on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays – not necessarily for the whole time the Day Centre is open – to help with looking after those who come you will be very welcome as helpers are always needed.
