Day Centre

Our Day Centre is at the heart of Clyst Caring Friends — a welcoming, supportive space where older people from across the local community can come together to enjoy good company, engaging activities, and a freshly cooked hot meal.

Open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 9:30 - 15:00 - our Day Centre is based at the Clyst Centre in Broadclyst. It offers a safe and friendly environment for those who may be feeling isolated or simply want to spend time with others in a relaxed, social setting.

What We Offer:

• Homemade two-course lunch served hot each day

• A variety of activities, cognitive stimulation and entertainment, from quizzes and crafts to gentle exercise, music, and guest speakers

• Transport to and from the centre can be arranged by our team of volunteer drivers

• A team of friendly staff and volunteers on hand to support with personal needs and ensure everyone feels included and cared for

Who Can Attend?

Our Day Centre is open to older adults and anyone is welcome who would benefit from companionship, structured activities, and a home-cooked meal in a safe and welcoming environment.

 

We welcome referrals from family, friends, neighbours, and health or care professionals.
