Our Services
At Clyst Caring Friends we run a variety of services which offer support to those who are unwell, elderly, or living with a disability or loneliness in the local community or thereabouts.

Transport Service
For patients who are unable to drive or make use of public transport, we can provide transport to the surgery at Pinhoe or Broadclyst or other local medical appointments such as the podiatry or dentist. There is also the possibility of a one-way journey to local hospital appointments.
If you wish to use this facility you may consult with your doctor or nurse who will advise Clyst Caring Friends that you are in need of transport. You can also contact our office manager Ann Unwin on 01392 464940.
Passengers are asked to contribute towards the cost of their journey. Information on current charges is available from the Clyst Caring Friends office
Once your referral has be dealt with by us and you have received and returned our GDPR privacy slip you can then arrange transport by phoning the Clyst Caring Friends office on:

The office is open Tues - Friday mornings. Please leave a message if you call outside of office hours and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. We need a minimum of 48 hours notice (during our working days) of all transport bookings. We cannot guarantee being able to provide transport, however we will always do our best.
Day Centre
The Clyst Centre, Broadclyst Surgery, The Hellings, Broadclyst

Opening hours:
10 am - 3 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Our purpose-built day Centre, located next door to the Broadclyst surgery, runs three sessions a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am - 3 pm. There are several experienced members of staff on duty during the sessions, who are helped by dedicated volunteers.
Luncheon Club

Our Clyst Caring Friends Luncheon Club has not been running since the start of the Covid pandemic. We very much hope to be able to offer this service again in the future
